I’m Steven Basquill, founder of Beorc Fitness - an Online Coaching & Personal Training brand built on Honour, Kinship, and Growth.
After more than a decade coaching and developing people in fast-paced, high-pressure environments within hospitality, I’ve learned that development, in any context is about far more than appearance or numbers, it’s about who you become in the process. Our goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and build lasting confidence that carries into every part of your life.
At Beorc Fitness, everything is guided by three core values:

I’m Steven! I guess the best place to start is with where this all began.
For over ten years, I worked in hospitality. I started out behind the bar, pouring pints, shaking cocktails, and getting to know people from all walks of life. I loved the buzz, the pace, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself. Over time, I worked my way up into management and eventually into training and development, where I found something that really clicked for me.
I realised that what I loved most wasn’t the chaos of service or the late nights (though there were plenty of those), it was the people. Watching someone grow in confidence, take on new challenges, and finally see what they were capable of was what stuck with me. I’ve always believed that the right guidance at the right time can completely change someone’s direction.
Somewhere along the way, fitness became that same kind of guidance for me. It started as a bit of an escape after long shifts, a way to clear my head and put some energy into something positive. But over time, it became much more than that. It taught me discipline, patience, and what real progress feels like. The gym turned into a place where I rebuilt myself after hard days and reminded myself that small steps, done consistently, really do matter.
That mindset is what led me to start Beorc Fitness. I wanted to take everything I had learned from years of coaching and combine it with my passion for fitness and self-development. I know life isn’t always predictable, and that most of us are juggling far more than we let on. That’s why I focus on creating training that fits around real people and real lives. No all-or-nothing mentality, no pressure to be perfect, just steady progress and support.
These days, I’m lucky enough to help people find their balance, build their confidence, and see what they’re capable of, not just in the gym but in themselves.
Outside of coaching, I’m a bit of a mix of things. I love live music, gaming, getting too many tattoos, and spending time with people who make me laugh. I’m a geek at heart, a lifelong learner, and someone who believes that self-improvement should never come at the cost of enjoying life.
Beorc Fitness is my way of bringing all of that together. The people, the purpose, and the process. It’s not about perfection. It’s about growth, balance, and the belief that every step forward, no matter how small, still counts.
